Sunday started off with another coat of paint, finishing off the dark blue wall and starting the yellow walls in the bathroom. I do like how the yellow and blue go together in the bathroom:
We followed that up with Church and then a trip to Ikea, at which point we finally discussed how these rooms are going to be lit (the Master Bedroom does not have any built-in lighting, though the bathroom does). We wound up having to compromise - Brianna got final say on the design, and Brian gets to automate all the lighting in the room.
There will be a future post on lighting automation - I'm pretty excited to get started, and parts should start arriving this week.
After Ikea, we spent the rest of the afternoon and evening painting. Here are the results:
I'm hoping to get an actual panorama posted, but for now these will have to do.
Things that remain to be painted: The walls in the water closet and the ceiling in the main bathroom. Some touch-up work is also required on all of the walls.
One thing I definitely should have done differently, and will do differently going forward: Paint the ceilings first, so any splatter can be covered over with primer.
Looks like great progress. Your idea of painting the ceilings first sounds smart! Love the colors! Almost there!!
