Bob the cat has escaped the house twice in the past week, so Brianna is coming to terms with him being an indoor/outdoor cat. Fortunately, we already have a pet door!
Here is Eva showing Bob around the yard yesterday:
Bob went in and out of the house through out the day, and figured out the pet door a lot faster than Eva did (though to be fair, Bob has been studying Eva use the door for weeks).
Bob did spend a good chunk of the night outside - we couldn't find him anywhere before we went to bed (later than expected), even though we had propped the pet door open to give him an easy route inside. But when we woke up, Bob was snoozing on his cat condo, safe and dry.
As a side note: Jeepers Creepers you guys - when you live next to a beaver dam, don't leave a pet door propped open and the lights on - we were invaded by mosquitos! This picture only shows a quarter of the ones I saw in the kitchen:
