Even though it snowed last night, we have had several days that were quite warm, and the master bedroom warmed up too. I've been thinking about how to cool the house for awhile, and I've been watching Craigslist to see if any window AC units pop up. And one did!
Our master suite is about 500 square feet (I AM HOMEOWNER, HEAR ME BRAG) which is just slightly smaller than our last apartment. According to EnergyStar, the proper size of air conditioner for a room that size is 12,000 BTU. New models rated at 12,000 BTU easily cost around $500. I picked this 12,400 BTU unit up for $75. I call that a win.
