Brianna and I celebrated two years of marriage by inviting a bunch of coworkers out to a burger joint (without telling them it was our anniversary). We wound up with a group of seven, and had a very pleasant meal!
The food was good, the company was technically inclined and everyone was in their mid-twenties (except me. At 28, I was the old man of the group).
Not exactly traditional, but Brianna and I have spent the majority of the last six months working on the house and growing a baby. Having a social evening out was well worth it.
