We signed the mortgage refinance today. It took a little over an hour to get through all the paperwork, and then we were done!
Now the title company will send things off to the two banks, who are supposed to settle things between them sometime next week. Then our current bank has thirty days to settle out our escrow account and cut us a check for the balance left over once they are all paid off. So we should be getting a pretty nice check in late December or early January, which we will apply back to the principle of the new loan.
