So, neither of us feels very much like painting, apparently.
Brianna's car is having trouble and is in the shop. In the meantime she has a free car rental as part of the maintanence package that came with the vehicle.
I did a bunch of little things around the house, including fixing and recoding the keypad for the garage door opener, raising pendant lamp heights to protect my forehead, putting an Cree LED lightbulb (5 bucks at Home Depot!) in the garage because the CFL bulb was so freaking slow to warm up to a reasonable brightness, and hanging two of the new window blinds.
Kinda hard to tell in this picture; the blinds are dark grey and mildly translucent.
Update: Huh. They're a lot more transparent than I thought -
