I wasn't able to get the display and outdoor temperature sensor to pair with each other. But I noticed that they talk to each other on the 900 MHz frequency - which is the same frequency my Z-Wave home automation wireless network operates on. There's a pretty good chance they are interfering with each other. I'm going to take the display and temperature sensor with me to work tomorrow and see if they can pair with each other there.
