Well, I should know better than to send my wife a picture of something from IKEA if I don't want to actually buy it.
I found this chest of drawers in the as-is section of IKEA earlier this week. Sometimes, if the returns people at IKEA get back two versions of a product that are in bad shape, they'll salvage what they can and put a hybrid version together. This one was built from a black model and a white model.
(I mostly sent the picture to Brianna because of the cute little boy in the background).
Well, Brianna fell in love with it. So I had to figure out how to bring it home. I had to think "outside the box":
And now it's in our bedroom:
This feels very grown-up. I haven't had an actual chest of drawers since I left my parents' home. And Brianna has been using plastic tubs for the last five years.
We also justified the purchase by telling ourselves we would dedicate a couple drawers to diaper-changing supplies, and have a spare surface for diaper changing inside the master bedroom.

I started reading this and at first I thought you were trying to figure out how to bring the little boy home....seems like you've got that covered now....congrats.
