Infant Care Class

We had our first "extra-curricular" class today, outside of the normal four-course curriculum. This one was taught by a cardiologist who likes to spend a lot of her time in the baby wards. There was a pretty marked difference in assertiveness between the two teaching styles.

Most of the class was a pretty frank discussion about baby poop. Well, there were some other things, but it seemed like we kept coming back to poop. Other notable topics were vaccinations and making sure there was NOTHING loose in the crib for baby to choke on while sleeping. And poop.

The instructor made the class pretty enjoyable, with plenty of anecdotes from raising her own kids and teaching classes like this one for over 10 years. I kinda regret we only got her for one class.
